Pete, I do not see this thread as a moan either, it asked a reasonable question and I have tried to give an explanation as to why rather too many people have little time for the BB. I can also assure you that Mach2 is one of the good guys who does a huge amount of excellent work for us, the members....

With regard to the number of members who visit the BB, the survey result shows that 60% never have, and only 24% have within the last six months. Those that visit the website - 84% within the last six months, and only 4% that never have. You can draw your own conclusions from that, mine, also taking...

Hi Toni, thank you for your kind comments re the magazine, I hope when your copy of Light Aviation arrives you will similarly enjoy it. We have several years of the magazine already in pdf format, whether we went to the trouble of scanning issues beyond that is a moot point. As I say, no decsion has...

Hi Josher, to my knowledge there has been no indexing of the magazine during the time I have been involved with it. It would be a pretty laborious task I suspect. We have recently been thinking about making the previous year's magazines available on CD, you could then use a search facility to find s...

Hi Welshman, I have a very loosely wound spring at the moment as a result of not being able to get onto the BB for over a week, I wonder how long that will last! The old BB archive has not been lost, it is just not at the top of Penny's priority list at the moment to resolve getting it linked to the...

Hi Nigel, I agree that things seem far more relaxed in reality than in theory. I was routing through Beauvais' zone squawking A when he came back and asked if I had C, I said no (I was not too sure of its accuracy at the time so had it off). I said I'd drop down below the zone if he wanted me to (15...

I will be up at Turweston tomorrow and will ask about the auto log in facility and what is happening about the old BB archive. I did, as John Dean mentioned, say that the archive would be retained but that it might not be available straight away. There are time constraints, Penny was unwell last wee...

Fear not Ernest, I am back! The PC is up and running again, albeit after a couple of hundred quid cash injection, and the next mag is under control. I had no problems registering and logging on, it worked first time. Belated New Year greetings to everybody, shame the wx was so poor on New Year's day...
