My understanding is that It should be applied to existing airframes. Think of it as an AD.

I wanted to test this but had to update the firmware to get the ring first, no bad thing. Mine is sucker mounted, so I rotated it in all three directions for a good five minutes and almost got a complete green ring. It looks as if you have to rotate slowly though. Are they confusing 'self constructed' with 'home-built'? The first implies the pilot built the aircraft, they second that it was built by an individual, rather than a manufature. Taken literaly 'self constructed' raises issues if you share the flying? Perhaps a point for the LAA to raise with thier ...

I doubt there is a 'just fit' option anywhere. I know of a 3 blade prop on a O-200* powered WAR FW190. I also think that Airboats in Florida sometimes use 4 blades on a O-200. Sorry T, don't understand the question. Can you rephrase it?but can you a glass DI?
I am assuming DGI is a directional gyro(DG) combined with a direction indicator (DI)?
