Re: CS Prop Systems - Airmaster versus Woodcomp

Yes a typo I meant the Woodcomp SR3000/3N. I currently have a Flybox CS controller which I purchased direct from Flybox in Italy. Woodcomp have their copy of the CS Flybox controller called a Kremen. Flybox accuse Woodcomp of steaing their design when they didn't have a worldwide patent on the CS Co...

Re: CS Prop Systems - Airmaster versus Woodcomp

Hi James, I have a Woodcomp VP prop SR300/3N with Flybox CS controller on my Bristell NG5 and I also had an earlier version of this Prop on a Sportcruiser previously so I have a fair bit of knowledge of the Woodcomp. The latest version has a completely different mechanism compared to the earlier vers...

Voting Form-LAA-BMAA merger

Where is the voting form?
Whilst I haven't yet fully read the months October magazine I have no voting form to return in my copy. I have a separate sheet about the AGM but nothing else!

Wouldn't it have been better to have had the voting form as a sticky on the LAA website home page? :?

Re: LAA Insurance Scheme -Air Courtage

Well no doubt following a prod from someone who read my previous post on this I managed to get an email dialogue going with Air Courtage and had my queries answered. Unfortunately the initial competitive premium price I found is compromised by high Excess deductibles and lowerThird Party Liability t...

LAA Insurance Scheme -Air Courtage

It would be good to hear from others who have either taken out a policy or who have had dealings with this company? My own experience in trying to obtain a satisfactory quote has been less than satisfactory so much so that I am now rather nervous of even wanting to take out a policy with them at all...

Hi,
Just wondering what you are doing with the CH750 project itself? How much is completed and is it for sale?

Regards,

Alan

Re: PPL with a LAPL Medical?

Hi Paul, How is life in Spain? Like you I am waiting for the same thing to happen. As the above poster says it was supposed to happen in Q2 of 2018 but the EASA site still shows it as 'pending' from 05/17. See:- https://www.easa.europa.eu/document-library/opinions What I refer to is embedded in :- A...

Re: Variable pitch hub

Johnnie, What you are looking for to my knowledge doesn't exist. For a new type to the UK of Propeller and Hub, VP or otherwise expect to go through the formal MOD process for approval for your aircraft. Personally I would strongly advise doing this before purchasing anything! See under Aircraft & T...

Re: LAA Magazine

Good idea Ken, I am all for cutting waste and reducing the plastic bag mountain! However on quite a few days this winter my post has dropped through the letterbox in quite a wet condition and with it being a somewhat weighty item my only fear would be that it wouldn't arrive dry and intact in a larg...

Re: Backup Instruments Dynon D2

I don't know but I rather suspect the reason is that the Dynon D2 does not display Indicated Air Speed, only displaying GPS speed.

Thanks for that Donald. Seems straight forward enough to me. Flying a UK kit built Permit aircraft I can just flightplan and go it seems which is great. :D

Re: UK overflight of non ICAO compliant permit to fly aircra

Can someone clarify for me please.... Not having kept up to speed with the Belgian relaxation of charges am I correct in thinking that one still has to apply in advance for permission to fly into Begium,it is just that there now is no charge? Or can you just file a flightplan and go, as a we used to...
