Belfast airports are the same.
George Best City airport has a colossal fee..... £120-00 for a C42 microlight.
Belfast Aldrogrove was about £22-00 the last time I was there.

Sod the both of them;
Newtownards is the best of all with a small landing fee.

Our BB forums on the National Microlight Association of Ireland website has a section that anyone can view, another section is viewable if you register on the forum (even non NMAI members) which opens up more topics and finally the entire board is viewable to verified NMAI members only. It works wel...

Welshman, don't you know that civil servants spend 50% of their time doing something useless and totally pointless to keep themselves in a job, the other 50% they just waste.

Lads, given time it will all come good. Simple economics will dictate that fact. We are all hot and bothered about a merger, a takeover, being "absorbed", call it whatever hell you like, things have been said, feathers ruffled in both camps. Whether we believe it or not there is a strong working rel...

The EC have yet to comment. I am sure they will soon - Mr. Brady, for one, I thought would respond as his last post on this matter, citing GSTYX as the only block, no longer reflects the situation. John, give it a rest, you are making the forum sound like an echo :!: I am sure a response will come ...

Maybe the LAA are not ready to "absorb" the BMAA just yet........ looked what happened when east Germany was absorbed by west Germany. It has yet to get over absorbing that liability, who was governed by communists who would shoot their own workers in the back to cover their arse, and to boot, it st...

It was announced at NC today that Sywell was given the green light by EC yesterday (Friday). So they will be a 2009 national rally and it will be on 4-6th Sept 2009. John, what chance do you think we have of getting St Omer to tweak their date? UK aircraft are a fair proportion of their attendees a...

This issue has been discussed at many levels. The Rotax 912 is a hard act to follow. It is well proven and dependable. The Jabiru is quite widespread too, it seems to work well in certain circumstances and not so well in others, you pay your money and take your pick. My opinion, and it is only my ow...

Well stated Brian and thank you for informing us. I, as a LAA administrated aircraft owner, am quite content to pay the "slightly" higher fee for engineering service/advice/admin/help/permit renewal/....... so you see it is quite a bit you get for your money ! Hopefully it will have the desired effe...
