Hi John I have a non expiring PPL A which I can run with a LAPL , I need to get an EASA licence sometime in 2014 but until then I have no problem. Have a look in LASORS which is now CAP804 free download, then check section P page 22. I sat down and read the whole thing and still needed FCL to confir...

I have converted from a Class 2 medical with a UK PPL(A) to a LAPL, got on to FCL and there is no fee apart from between you and your AME, just fold up the medical and stick it in the back of your licence.

From what I have seen the LAA shop could carry a few copies without too much risk.

Hi Trevor For what it is worth I lost my medical (Class II) following the dreaded heart attack, after 3 bouts of surgery and the surgeon saying you are fit as a fiddle I started going through the CAA flow chart to get the Class II back, nightmare. I signed up as an Aero Pac dealer, nothing but grief, hassle and ineffective and under developed products, maybe the situation has changed in the last 6 to 12 months but I would strongly urge that you look at alternatives.

We use then on Sherwood Ranger builds and as we have a fair few under construction (for overseas) we could do with a bundle more. Sorry for late reply this new BB system isnt up to the old one I cant find the PM button or anything??

There is a firm based at Thruxton who did some drape moulding for me a while back, cant remember their name but should be easy to get, they did a great job and very reasonably.
