Re: Continental 0-200 engine

Can you not run a Continental "on condition" as with a Lycoming which would have an annual cylinder pressure test.

Hi, Mike

Best not to post your personal details on a forum, use a PM

Don't make it easy for the crooks and scammers out there

Re: Instrument requirements

Hi, Stephen

As you prefer round dials you should look at the Tru Track EFIS as it has the info displayed with a traditional analogue type display instead of the usual tape style.

There are smaller back ups available but as the size goes down the price goes up!!!

Re: 100LL Vapour Lock

Thanks for the explanation Paul.

But I think when you get that big 540 up and running you will be sucking so much cool fuel from those wing tanks that you could probably use the fuel lines to set up a cool box for your soft drinks :D

Ha Ha yes sorry not much help I know

Re: Dehydrator Spark Plugs

Turning engine by hand------ I've had mixed advice about that some say turn some say not. The lycoming preservation instructions say do NOT turn engine over the only time the lubrication system works is if the engine is running, when turning by hand all you do is scrape off the oil you deposited whe...

Re: Dehydrator Spark Plugs

I was going to order the Tanis pickling kit which has the pugs and oil and other items required But the procedure is to run the engine up to temp then change the oil/add an additive. However I am not sure if I will be able to run the engine as i am removing it from an aircraft which is being broken ...

Dehydrator Spark Plugs

Any one used the Dehydrator plugs for long term engine storage.

To re use the plugs you have to dry out the silica gel but the details on LAS and aircraft spruce state it takes 16 hours at 250 degrees. That seems like a huge amount of time?
