Re: Brian North - RIP

Very sad: Brian was a good friend of many of us in the Chiltern Strut. I first got to know him as one of the workers who set up the Rallys at Cranfield in the 80s. A stalwart of knocking in fence posts and any other tasks needed before and after the rally. It was some time before we found out that h...

Re: Powered Towbar

Would it be possible to use a winch / electric hoist mounted at the back of the hangar. I know that many hangers in Canada use this system even on the flat at Brampton, ont. Another source of drive is used to move caravans (a powered jockey wheel) which might be available S/H from your local caravan...

Poles are covered by Way Leave agreements between landowners and the power authorities so it may be tied up leaving you little scope for change in the near future. Re: LAA Sywell Strut

Sorry Nigel
As an ex coordinator I intended to come but was late home from my office in London.
Glad to hear it went well.
I have the old strut file in my possession which has copies of NC minutes going back to the edge of time.

Re: Let's call it a succcess, shall we?

We will publish a full listing on the LAA Photo reports website when we get the compilation prepared by Sywell ATC. We will then try and have an image of all aircraft attending the rally as well to compliment the listing.

Re: Disappointed for the prize winners

We have over the years had the prizegiving at various times even Sunday mornings and we never got them all to attend. It was certainly better attended in the Cranfield days but more people tended to stay for the dinner which was so well attended that the room temperature became so hot that if a pig ...

Re: Cassutt Racer Plans

The latest information I have is that the rights are up for sale. http://www.if1airracing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=64 Thus the link on my LAA data sheets is now dead. I will have to keep a watch to see if there is new link for the plans in the future. Possibly a set of second hand plans or eve...

For details of the Sale of Goods Act try the SOGA website http://www.oft.gov.uk/business-advice/treating-customers-fairly/sogahome/ but this is essentially retailer to customer information. Whatever you sell has to be fit for the purpose for which it has been sold. i.e. You sell say an old Luton Min...

I also have no problem with Nom de Plumes as long as the the input is useful and interesting. I would also expect that the moderator has access to the real name of the contributor.
