As a result of the campaign to get a blanket exemption for factory built LAA aircraft to attend fly in at St.Omer this coming weekend,The DGAC have issued (as of last night) new paperwork exempting ALL LAA aircraft for the whole of France permenantly! Gilbert has e mailed me a copy of the letter today, together with a translation.It includes a copy of a previous letter dated July to Roger Hopkinson, in which the DGAC say that factory built aircraft flying on a LAA permit CAN fly in france. I think the airside sheets were a bit of an issue, not huge but easily delt with next year. I think it was a thumbs up! the join at peak time Saturday was easier than rejoining my home base.

OK, DSAC Paris, dept. Navigabilite et Aviation Generale have issued notice of an exemption for the fly in at St.Omer for ALL aircraft flying on a current LAA permit to fly from Friday 10th Sept 2010. They have stated that any aircraft attending will NOT have to pay. So come on, let's have a good tur...

The blurb calls for slow traffic to use the grass with landing light off, faster stuff to use the hard with landing light on.
Don't they know not all aircraft HAVE landing lights?? especially permitA/C.

Why have such a stupid thing that could add to confusion on approach?

16.30hrs update, DGAC have agreed exemption!!!! will be posted on acsto website when e mail confirmation received.
