I do agree if the CAA accept their bid they will end up with more Class D airspace than Gatwick .
It should be noted that Farnborough's traffic is almost exclusively NOT public transport but in the main GA.

Met Office new site
Has anyone signed up for the new site for the Met Office General Aviation offering
I tried it today and thought it was a retrograde step on the old site.
i wonder if there had been any consultation with its potential users as to its content etc.
I certainly wasn't asked!

Re: Airspace infrigements
I do agree.
If what Farnborough are shopping for and what Boscombe Down want with regard to increased Danger Areas
and with the imposition of an SMZ in Class G airspace it will almost be impossible to fly over Hampshire

Re: Airspace Change Proposal
John The Watchkeeper UAV is capable of 12 to 14 hour operational missions but it is expected that training sorties will be of 5 to 6 hour duration. During launch and recovery the intention is for DA 120 to be sterile to ensure the segregation of manned and UAV traffic. The DA 120 a b will be NOTAMd ...

Re: Red tape: Hi-vis and PPR by telephone
I have a real problem with a licensed airfield requiring PP for a normal movement. I perfectly accept that a private unlicensed A/F may require it. If a licensed A/F has a problem accepting traffic at a particular time they should take NOTAM action.

I heard a rumour that the CAA has postponed the introduction of much of SERA. I cannot however find a definitive source of information on this. Can anyone Help?

John
I am sure you are correct.
As always I found the FISO professional and friendly. It was just the attitude of the person in the "club" who let the rest down.
Cheers

Re: 8.33Khz Radios
I think I am going to wait for a while and see what happens with new equipment coming on the market. The problem is with the USA not mandating 8.33Khz the here is no driver for the US manufacturers to develop the relevant kit. It will I feel be left to European companies to develop for a much smalle...
