ENGRAVE YOUR ENGINE!!!

I read below of an engine being stolen. A couple of years ago you may have heard about a 3300 Jabiru engine being stolen in Belgium. Although originally thought to be a 'local job' it turned out to be a bunch of thieves from France. Shortly after I engraved on the top of the crankcase on my 3300, tw...

Simple

I phoned up and they took the details down, a few days later I got a form to fill in and that was that.

Thanks again, Regards, Clive

Pound shop

I got a selection of magnifiers from the pound shop somewhere and I'm sure one would do the job. Could hack out a bit big enough I'm sure.

Ah the joys of having a panel down at your feet, I remember it well.

Aircraft painting script-Cancel this one

Can someone who has done it enlighten me as to what the script is for painting and sign off for flying again on a plane that is already flying?

Cancel this enquiry, just spoken to an inspector local to the paint job and have the full story.

What's the point?

I was thinking, great, will be good to see some nice views and places folk have been to. What I find is the very well taken but never the less not very exciting pics of planes. Fine I say but is it OK for folk to put on some nice air to airs, some good views etc?

What do I have to report to whom?

I recently had an excursion from my home runway. The U/C is a little bent but we pushed the plane out of the field and taxied it back to the hangar. Is this worthy of reporting? If so who to? I recall binning a sheet of paper that comes with some periodicals thinking I hope I don't need that ever......

Lost opportunity

Reading comments on the BMAA site and on E mail groups (I'm in both) I see we have again lost an opportunity. Stopping progress with an ill thought out public comment has turned many BMAA members away from what was and is a great idea. Gary's comment: For the benefit of both memberships please try h...

Belgian Airspace

No different than previous years as far as I know. If you ask they'll tell you to send them some dosh and give you permission for a few days around your trip. If you don't and go you won't find anyone asking for anything anywhere. There are many Dutch and French homebuilds nased in Belgium and none ...

Falcon indeed

Yep, it's a cheap Falcon import. I bought it 3 years ago so no joy with the supplier. I've spoken to light aero about another instrument out the batch and it was too long ago, and I can't say I blame them. With these chinese things I think yer takes yer chance, I've been lucky in the past, a guy in ...
