Hangarage available Nuthampstead

Is this the right room for an argument? :D With the passing on of my Fury (sold, not dead) there is now a space in the hangar at Nuthampstead. For the avoidance of doubt, details be here: https://ukga.com/airfield/nuthampstead It’s a well kept grass strip run on an informal basis. If you are interes...

Re: Post AGM Thought

I appreciate she has her supporters to whom I would like to pose this question. For such a PR hungry ‘aviatrix’ why didn’t she fly her Stearman solo in to Sywell,on one of the most CAVOK days of year, for the Rally? Despite her allegations of misogyny she arrived dual in a mundane aircraft alongsid...

Re: Post AGM Thought

I see your point Matthew but would like the think that this was a one-off with nobody else being so crass as to drag us through a repeat.

I hear TCT has at least followed through on her promise to resign from the LAA so there’ll be no more tantrums from that quarter.

Re: Plans for winter?

Several years ago I bought an aircraft that had 3-D effect font (had been there 28 years). As there wa...

The mirror? No, it's really a............oh okay, busted.

Back in my bush flying days I carried a few survival items but buzzing around the UK I don't think them necessary. Apart maybe from some beer vouchers.

Re: First Aid kit

Did you buy a ready made one or is yours home grown? What’s in it? I’m putting one together and without going bonkers want to make sure I’ve not missed anything. I’ve got: Bandages, two sizes Triangular bandage Israeli bandage Burn dressing Gauze pads Sterilising wipes Plasters Roll of micropore tap...

First Aid kit

How many people carry a First Aid kit?

Of those who do, how many simply bought a Halfords £9.99 kit ten years ago and haven't looked at it since?

Re: Flying Flea

As far as looks were concerned perhaps it was in keeping with the austerity of the time. Y’know, smaller equals fewer materials. A bit like the Italian take on cars.

As for the short coupling, perhaps he knew no better. Did he have any other designs?

Nine thousand would be great but recently we’ve been cited as having a membership of 7600-ish. Which are we?

Hang on a minute.

You want to fly an aircraft that you command to climb it flys an outside loop?

You’re all wrong in the head.
