Hi,
I am trying to get hold of certain DR1050 drawings for reference in order to carry out a repair on a friend's aircraft. These are not to build from so I don't want to but a set with a build licence.
If anyone has a set that I might look at, borrow or buy, please do get in touch.
regards
Colin

Re: Replacement bench seating
Hi, I part-own a Taylorcraft too, it is currently being stripped prior to recovering and a general refurb. Something you will need to consider is that to change from the sling arrangement that is standard, you will need to get a modification approved by LAA engineering. That means that you will need...

Re: Don Peacock VW CONVERSION PLANS
David,
whilst getting some drawings isn't likely to be a problem, wouldn't you be better of using Leburg or similar electronic ignition for your engine?
The advantages they give for starting and the weight saving ought to justify the cost?

Re: Don Peacock VW CONVERSION PLANS
Hi, you mention the FRED and VP1 plans; they remain the copyright/property of individuals, e.g. Eric Clutton for the FRED and I believe Bud Evans' son for the VP1. They are not LAA property so the LAA cannot publish them. For many aircraft designs, a little searching on the internet will reveal scan...

Re: Don Peacock VW CONVERSION PLANS
Hi,
they used to be available via the LAA shop along with various aircraft plans sets. The plans have been converted to CD now, but I cannot see the Peacock drawings there.
Am sure a call to the LAA office will clarify the situation.

Hi Matthew,
have sent you an email with a drawing.
I think you might need a picture from Alan in order to get a clear understanding of it.

Heat treatment of S515 steel
Hi,
I have some fittings made from S515 steel, that I need heat treating to S514 (hardened & tempered) condition. Can anyone offer pointers to where I might be able to get this done?
Regards,
Colin

Re: Wanted - Brugger Colibri Plans - Now sorted thanks
Hi Mark,
Thanks, but I have a set now, including those.
The original Max Brugger drawings are actually some of the clearest and best drafted of the many sets of aircraft drawings I have seen.

Colin

Hi,
does anyone have a set of Brugger Colibri plans that I may buy or borrow? I don't need a licence to build an aircraft, I simply want a look at some.

Re: Wanted: Continental -8 Rear Case, for filter mod
Hi Julian,
I just saw the filter that a friend bought from you, very neat.
Seeing it reminded me of this advert. Did you ever find a -8 case? i have an A65 in bits but I will need the case back.

Colin

Link to Cad drawings of Rotax engines
Hi,
here's a link to a collection of Cad drawings of Rotax engines that might prove useful. Of course I cannot vouch for their accuracy.

Re: Wanted - Aircraft Ply
Thanks David,
sounds very helpful as am stuck without the ply. I have about 25 sheets carefully hidden under the bed but didn't realise I had no 1.5mm there until I needed it.
Will send you a PM with my contact details.

Wanted - Aircraft Ply
Hi, does anyone have any 1.5mm GL1 ply (full or half sheets) they might be willing to sell? SATCO have run out and are waiting for new stock to come in but I could use some asap. Actually, if anyone has any leftover sheets of any thickness they don't need do let me know. I guess I could also use any...
