Thanks. It is a 58/30 KF in plain finish with a 100mm VW bolt pattern. Originally for a FRED with an 1835. Only just come out of the box.

Value of a spare prop?

I've got a new Ken Fern wood prop as a spare and someone wants to maybe buy it. Any idea what it is worth? I bought it as part of a project a few years ago so don't know what it would have originally cost.

Not sure if this would help anyone, but I'm a CAA accredited CRM instructor as well as an ATPL on Boeings. Does the LAA have any use for me? The qualification can be used outside the airline business.

FRED dimensions.

Does anyone know the length of a FRED with the tailplane off? I'm after an approx for the tail to the prop tip so I can work out the length of garage I need. I'm moving house so I haven't got the paperwork here and I'd like to know if I can cancel the hangar charges and drag FRED to my new home. I s...

I had one of those "Big Mister" hats that got handed out at the Kemble rally in about 2006. Mine got lost whilst sliding down one of those zip-line things off of a large sand dune and into a fresh water sink hole (about 500 foot deep) on the edge of the Amazon jungle. That hat must've had about 1/4 ...

One of these would be great for a onversion since you could get a larger capacity without weakening the case. Quite pricey, though.

For £25, it might be worth getting a second pump, fixing it in series and trying it to see if one will work with the other dead via a left-right-off switch.

Reading the finer print of the original post, from what I can remember from my VGS days, the Grob motorgliders used at Syerston were exempt from having to carry Mode S. Has this changed?

Nick. Forget spelling your callsign in Morse code...just get it spelling out your unique ICAO 24 bit binary address

In my case it will be ....... 0100_00_000_010_01_1010100001

Cheaper than buying a Mode S transponder!

How about mandatory smoke systems?

Only half joking. Wouldn't it be great to have a tiny windscreen washer pump automatically delivering a tiny squirt into your exhaust pipe every 15 seconds to leave a dashed line wherever you go, thus pointing you out.

On the pump I removed, if the drive fails then it becomes sealed and won't flow. If the diaphragm goes then I'm not sure. I ditched it because of known problems with flaking cadnium plating on the chambers, the extra fuel piping in the engine 'hot area' that was required to run from the tank to the ...
