I read the eningeering section despite not owning a LAA permit aircraft. I like know how things work -- at a guess plenty of others do too, whether they ever apply the knowledge or not.

I'm sure this is going to turn out to be a fifty-fifty split but I preferred the engineering sections stapled in. I do read them, but am far more liekly to reread at a later date if their still in place in the mag stack than floating around. 'Course it could be as someone too cheapt to buy binders t...

Slightly off thread, but have you tried YAWS for NOTAM access?
Nope, but I will now. Cheers for that.

I think it's difficult to separate the interface from the content. Intepreting the NOTAM itself seems to be just something tha has to be learnt, like the TAFS adn other met abbreviations, like the r/t, like all the airlaw gubbins, and that's just tough! When the problem is the interface it's somethi...

Maybe there should BE a concerted "fly a local" campaign ;-)

In point of fact the last Welsh course I attended was 80% English "immigrants", so I think sometimes the "Anglicisation" is slightly overstated. Welsh last I checked was the only "minority" language with an INCREASING number of speakers.

I did hear that some planes arrived, stopped, looked around and then left without paying. It was only a fiver! Where's your conscience people? Well if that did happen then at least one of them was offset by me paying despite not looking around and leaving after a princely ten minutes, having only p...

I got within 20 miles and had to turn back on Saturday, but I pushed through in fairly dubious conditions today. Listening to the r/t on Bristol Radar I dont think you were alone in turning back. That fog was twilight-zone-ish! I went above a "corner" of it after a huge detour going in the other di...

Looked well attended from what little I saw while making a muppet of myself taxying into somewhere there turned out not to be room to taxy back out again... (At least without intervention of helpful bollard-shifter) Would have stayed later but was knackered and the prospect of creeping across the Br...

I voted yes, and have followed the thread but not commented because I've had nothing to add which hasn't already been said and because to be honest it didn't seem to be going anyway other than will-they-won't-they. I know several other organisations I've been involved with operate a system of local ...

Perhaps also offer some reassurance on the "flights around the massiv" bit too. Point out it's going to be flyable a LOT fewer days than it's going to be walkable of train-able or bus-able... And that pleasure flight are going to be at healthy distance by any pilot that doesn't want to find themselv...

You might upset Dai if you ask for his pint even if you DO say please...

I agree with the principle of widening the capability of members to have their say but postal voting is expensive and often the inevitable low return % means that a proportion of money spent is wasted. In bog standard "normal" political voting you have to ASK for a postal or proxy vote is my unders...

I suspect most people condense that in some form or another that suits them, their passengers, and their aeroplane!
