One of the CAA Safety Sense leaflets covers it in rather exhaustive detail. "Care of Passengers" I also saw a "SAFETY" mnemonic for remembering everything to tell passengers S -- Seatbelts and Securing hatches A -- Air vents and Action if passneger feels unwell F -- Fire extinguishers and First Aid ...

Well my AM was astonishingly quick off the mark in responding to my email, and assures me she agrees that Llanbedr will be an asset to the local tourism and economy. Nice to hear!

Llanbedr

(apologies for the cross-post if people ahve already seen my rant on this elswhere) I was all excited about the possibility of a 'new' GA airfield, but it seems the local whingers and whiners and spoilers of other people's fun are aready having a moan. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/734...

The 'Bad PR' argument is yet another red herring in my view, I have sought the views of a good many members over the years and almost to a man they cannot see what all the fuss is about. My emphasis, because as, someone who is a member without an LAA permit aircraft, and with no opinion on way or a...

However, most of the posts no longer seem to be there; I was just looking for something in the old "Hangar Chat" and there is only one thread (the most recent) accessible. The search facility works, so the posts are there somewhere - any ideas why browsing is no longer apparently possible? Top righ...

“No aircraft's boring -- they all get you up in the sky” Tricky, C172 gets airborne but is very very boring. Rod1 But one of those happens to be the easiest way for me to take along younger family members who need/want a parent along and their over excited squeals make it anything but boring, and l...

Once I get my head back in coding mode... Are the new certificates with the new logo and everything laid out the same as the old ones?

Youth Aviation

If you'll excuse the blatant plug, and cross-posting for a moment I'd like to let people know about http://youthaviation.pbwiki.com This work-in-progress, throwing-ideas-about site, came about as a result of discussion during the Education Mini-Conference at Brooklands on 1st March. The original pla...

For what it's worth I'm not a homebuilder (although I may need to add a "yet" to that given the lean of my daydreams lately) but enjoy reading the engineering articles.

But then I always was one of those kids who had to know How Things Worked, so maybe that explains it.

I keep trying to convince him he CAN afford flying really, so keep drip feeding him the magazines!

50% is actually an astoundingly high proportion if that's the case. Most online newsgroups/mailing lists/bboards/forums are 90% "lurkers" I've always been told.
