Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

The plot thickens as G-NICX was Squawking 4575. Southend Airport Conspicuity.
So that at least that was right. If Southend frequency was selected too why didn't they request his intentions? Maybe Southend was not manned?

Re: Keeping Current

Steve Already decided to leave from self isolation at home using self isolation in the car or walk to my Airstrip.I have a single seater so yet again comply. Formation flying will need to be at least 5M spacing! I'm willing to accept visitors on a PPR at the strip to ensure no other bugger is there!...

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Thats privileged information Mike! If I tell you you'll be shot on arrival.
You have one chance.....sell your 2 seat anti-seatism airplane.
In truth I have no idea which enclosure we will be in.
Reality is a temporary condition for me!

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Sorry Mike. Re. Sandown Fly In. Seatism is a cruel legislative action and has to be strictly upheld. I'm not condoning this suggested action but of course its possible that by mistake you could have popped into Sandown on June 13th to find a gaggle of seatism warriors parked in a segregated area for...

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Back up day if weather inclement - Sunday 14th June. Sandown are reserving a parking area for single...

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Mike thanks for the information on Chilsfold Farm.
I know the area well as we lived near Pulborough for a while and I went to School at North Heath on the A29...... Many years ago!

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Firstly ChampChump I hadn't realised all this 'Woke' nonsense had got into aviation too. Yes I'm seatist it seems! I feel suitably shamed...... Mike. Where are you in West Sussex? I have family in Midhurst area. Perhaps I can fly down. You are certainly welcome in Somerset...... just dont make eye c...

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

Slightly off topic but...... Do you think a meeting up for an informal bacon sandwich somewhere would be a little exercise for some of the single seat LAA types? Range and speed probably restrict the distance but I'm up for trip to meet up of around 150 miles in one hop as long as fuel available at ...

Re: Piper Cub Brake hose wanted

Harry I got some made up for my Corben at Merlin Motorsports - Castle Combe near Chippenham. They have a Workshop that will make them up for you using removed pipes as 'model'. One word of warning. DO NOT TELL THEM THEY ARE FOR AN AIRCRAFT. The owner gets very twitchy even though he is a Pilot. Rega...
