The article didn't appear to mention that the Aware software is also available for the iPad. I use an iPad mini with a GNS1000 bluetooth GPS and the Aware southern England chart (cost £24.99) which seems to work well as a basic cross check/backup to the paper chart, watch and Mk1 eyeball. Just bought Menestrel II plans from Monsieur Nicollier in France, and have discovered a shortage of 20cm in my workshop (7.6m clear length, wingspan 7.8m). I guess I'll be creating a temporary extension in due course!

I wonder whether laminating a viscoelastic material such as a soft rubber could dampen out bounces?
