There is nothing special about RG58 but you would be much better of with the higher quality RG400.

Can I add my congratulations to the Wessex Strut for a very well run event. Everything seemed to go like clockwork and I know just how difficult and how much work that takes.

That excellent magazine of our had a very good article on the Self Declaration medical not long ago and, whilst some of it might now be out of date, I think the OP is looking at note 3 which says "Permission required from appropriate authority if outside of UK". I am sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly but I as Iunderstand it the short answer to your question is - you can't! If you want to go to France (unless you have a microlight) you need a class 2 or a LAPL medical.

I believe you will find that the trophy is no longer in her possession. As is usual, she only held it for one year after being presented with it in 2014.

Looks like it will apply to permit aircraft.

"The UK Air Navigation Order (ANO) which regulates Permit aircraft is also be revised from that date, to bring it into line with Part-NCO. "

Whatever happened to being innocent until proved guilty. Surely it cannot be right that your licence is suspended before any investigation takes place. What if you were subsequently found to be innocent - how would the CAA compensate you for the unreasonable suspension of your licence? If I commit a...

Yes and no!

When your inbox is full (75 entries) the software will now delete the oldest messages to allow new ones to be received. Allowing you to delete individual messages is proving more of a problem.
