Re: Language Proficiency at Popham and Aero Expo

Off to a bit of a slow start due to the rain showers, but a steady flow of customers all day which kept both myself and Alan Meredith busy with Language Proficiency Endorsements. Thanks to all those who made a donation to the LAA Educational Trust. John Brady and Simon Wilson will be the LAA Coaches...

Re: LAPL & EASA PPL

The LAPL and PPL are two separate licences. If you obtain an LAPL then you will need an LAPL medical to go with that licence. A Class One or Two medical may also be used with the LAPL. If your JAR-FCL/EASA PPL is current in every respect (licence, class rating) then you may obtain an Class Two medic...

Re: LAPL conversion from PPL(A)

Hi John, The CAA Scheme of Charges says conversion of a National PPL to EASA is £65 plus £6 P & P. I suggest you apply with this fee and see what happens. If they are charging you to convert to JAR-FCL first, this is incorrect as the CAA no longer issue a JAR-FCL licence.....The conversion report in...

Re: UK Licence with Medical Declaration

John Brady, above, is correct in that it is dependent upon the certification of the aircraft. So, as a pilot with a UK national PPL or NPPL, you will just need to review the relevant documents before you fly. If your Bolkow is on a LAA Permit to Fly, then it is non-EASA and does not require an EASA ...
