Re: New CEO

Put it in the back gate and see if the dog barks. Run it up the flagpole and see if it flies. Glass ceilings. Going forward. Lets touch base about that offline. Cradle to grave approach. It's on my radar, and I'll be tackling it in my itinerary. Push it through the pipeline. Get your ducks in a row....

Continental Engine Mounting Rubbers

Brand new and sealed in a bag. This set of 8 Continental rubber engine mount rubbers are genuine and from Teledyne Continental Motors. They fit the A65 through to C90 engines. Shipped, they cost me £30. Do not confuse these with the cheap ones (£1.01 !) avaialble from LAS which crack as soon as they...

The LAA forum will never be as lively as the Flyer or PPRuNe forums, and neither should it be expected to be. Is that such a bad thing? Flyer is a privately owned magazine that is one of the few GA fraternity's great success stories since the 1990's (along with Andair, Harry Mendelsohn, Vans etc etc...

I'm struggling to understand why one would refuse to install the latest technology in your aircraft just because you can't install it yourself. Sounds a bit like a popular proverb about noses and cutting off etc...

For the past 7 years since I have been a member I have always found them to be excellent. Permits are always turned around within 7 days and technical queries are answered with superb detail and the backing of many years of knowledge. I hope those involved read the frequent compliments they receive ...

I have only ever found the LAA services to be superb too. Permit certificates arriving almost by return, succinct and accurate advice over the phone (have only ever actually spoken to AD and FD and they have both given very sound advice), a magazine that is now on par with the news stand 'big names'...

Derek

Bearing in mind Skydrive's involvement with Evektor and Rotax, my guess would be that they will be the best people to ask. I have always found them very helpful, and so is Conrad at Conair Sports.

Combined, what they don't know isn't worth knowing.

The current account manager
Is that:

a) the manager of your bank "current account" (ie wife)

or

b) the current person who happens to be female in control of your account (ie you could swap them for another one)

If it's "a", best of luck. If it's "b", then get a different one!!!

There is nowt wrong with the 582 as long as you fly regularly and maintain it as required. I flew behind one for 12 months and it never skipped a beat.
