Make the Hard Circuit RH and the Grass LH.

This will stop aircraft that are cutting in crossing on Final.
.....and will also have aircraft flying head-on at each other on Base leg!!!

Although farming commitments meant I could only attend for a few hours on Saturday, I too would like to say that it was a resounding success again. The atmosphere was relaxed and there was lots to see. It was good to see so many C of A types there too; potential LAA'ers who are seeing the light mayb...

Just to be quite clear, I didn't say that I didn't agree with the procedure of handing out the leaflets. I am aware that it is a requirement of the system. My comment about the nature of the "hander outers" was based purely on the 2010 Rally and the comments overheard between 5 and 20 yards from the...

Ian I think you will find that few are reluctant to put themselves through the barrage of persistent sarcastic comments that they will receive from the recipients of those pieces of paper. For the last few years I have only ever eavesdropped some exceptionally negative comments about that particular...

James and Nigel are bang on. Go for the stealth approach. I have done this now for 11 years and have never been spotted. Pull up at the back of the forecourt, pop the filler cap hatch and then make sure that the cans are out of sight of the bloke behind the till. Stand as upright as possible and do ...

Lee

I believe JBM do make ones for the 582.

http://jbmindustries.com/ROTAX.htm

I have tried some on my 912 and they are much much better than the Rotax originals. The rubber compound is much tougher and they fit a lot tighter over the inlet.

If that doesn't register on your 'good guys' criteria in a similar way to John's more direct help as an Inspector, then maybe you need to reappraise things a bit

Sorry to have to say this but I see a very pro-LAA person (Rod1) flying the LAA flag in a different room (Flyer forum), all on his own and he has been flying it for a very long time. He has done a good job and has not only raised the profile of the LAA to the flying masses, but he has also answered ...

Hey, that's me in the Tcraft photo!!!! I wish I could say I was 6 feet and 11 inches but I'm not. Yes, you're right Rich, the view out of a Tcraft needs the neck of a camel, but they're still good machines.

Taylorcraft?

Great for tall people, will get off the ground as quick as most (but a sedate climb when 2 up and with the A65 engine), 100 mph with the right prop, simple construction and well within your budget at circa 12k for a decent one. I had one for 3 years and it was a great aircraft.

It is a collection of photographs of aircraft and it isn't easy to access. Big deal; is it really worth getting worked up about? There are heaps of other websites where one can look at UK light aircraft so I personally don't think it is a concern. Someone mentioned about the website being poor. I wo...

It is bound to clash with something (that's life) and it seems to me that there are too many around here who seem to just moan for the sake of being able to!! The dates are in my diary and I am sure they are in hundreds of other diaries too. If people want to go to other events then that's fine - we...
