Re: New 8.33 Radio
Hi Colin,
It's the thought of running 25 odd connections and then leaving a hole in the panel that is driving my thinking.

New 8.33 Radio
Hi all, Quick bit of help if possible, Does anyone know the pin to pin connections between a Flightcom 403mc intercom and the new Trig TY91 8.33 radio? I don't really want to rewire the whole intercom and radio system if there is a shorter way of doing it, and the manuals are a bit vague when connec...

Re: Airfield Planning Permission
Hi James, Don't forget the 28 day rule. As I remember! Providing that you don't change the primary use of the field. ie if its a grass paddock it has to stay a grass paddock. You can operate out of the field for 28 days in any calendar year without planning permission or restriction. These can be in...

Re: Rally 2017
Hi Rob, Top tip. I would look out more and be aware of who's around, than spend too much time fretting over the perfect pattern. Aircraft seldom have near misses with AIC's and maps! At the risk of stating the 'bleedin obvious' regardless of what it says on the bits of paper, if it appears to be get...

Yes well done Roger and the team!!
That saves an awful lot of 'faff'.
Maybe some one could verify if the DFT were in anyway involved?

Tiger Club
Hi All,
Just heard that the Tiger Club have moved up to Damyns Hall in Essex.
Has there been another falling out or decided to move towards a larger customer pool?
Any insider info?

Re: Worrying trend by CAA on Infringements
I think that the problem is far to interdependent on multiple factors, and the aviation industry as a whole needs to take a Holistic approach to it all. Airspace was designed for aircraft designed in the 40's and operating in the 50's. That was 60 years ago! Airlines want the highest efficiency poss...

Re: Worrying trend by CAA on Infringements
Hi Brian, Do we know weather these figures, 1000+, are for aircraft that infringe CAS without a clearance ie climbing into CAS/entering a CTR/CTA etc. Or are they for not complying with an issued clearance ie climbing through Fl80 when cleared to Fl70/cleared into the zone not above 2000' and enteri...

Re: MODE S AND 8.33 RADIO
Chris, In very simple terms. Q1. By now SES ,Single European Sky, should have been up and running. This would have reduced frequency congestion, the overiding problem, by the allocation of frequencies by a central European Agency. However no country wanted to give up Sovereignty of it skies so all o...

Re: Jerry Cans
Hi Phil, If you really want to go whole hog, go for stainless steel jerry cans. Demon Tweeks sell them for about £110.00 each Inc VAT NOT CHEAP!! But being stainless steel you do not have to faff about filtering the fuel to get the red lead primer out. And don't belive that it never comes off it alw...
