Re: CAA Consultation
I didn't get the LAA's additional guidance but responded on the basis of the e-mail. There may be times to reinvent the wheel - maybe - but this isn't one of them especially not for the CAA which is surely better occupied elsehow.

Little Mongeham: a new airfield
In this month's magazine is a piece from Steve Hoskins about the planning application that has been submitted for an airstrip, hangarage, glamping pods and all things associated. A link to all the documents and a chance to add a comment is here: https://publicaccess.dover.gov.uk/online-applications/...

75th Anniversary Rally poster
I missed the pub talk, so have learned about plans for this via my local strut's newsletter. The proposed poster is shown. I do have a big chunk of bias, but wouldn't it be better to have the vintage aeroplanes rather more prominent? I saw only the Stampe at first and almost missed both behind the l...

Re: Repeal of stolen airspace LAA AGM motion by Zoom 18th Oct.
Duly noted.
Peripheral question: the form leaves a large space for, presumably, the name of the Chairman of the meeting, but who is chairing the meeting? I cannot see this mentioned in the magazine article nor on the form. May I leave it blank?
Apologies for stupid question.
I'm stupid.

Re: Airfield risk assessments
I have somewhere the equivalent of this, when Richard was organising 95% of the fly-in at 'his' strip. If I remember correctly, there was nothing in it one wouldn't expect, but just a little extra layer of thought to cover the arrival of people who don't read everything thoroughly, IYSWIM. I suspect...

Best wishes to Matthew Boddington
I'd just like to express my wishes for a rapid recovery to Matthew (Bod) Boddington after today's events.
From what I've read and heard, he converted a very nasty situation into a survivable incident. I doubt many could have done that.

There's more on the rather more active Flyer forum, Paul.

Re: C90 / O-200 operating costs
I run a C85 and deal with expenses as they arise, have never been in a group (except with a glider) so am not qualified to answer. I'm just posting to suggest you post this question on Flyer forum, where you'll likely get more replies. I predict there'll be a good split between those saying "factor ...

Re: LAA COVID ADVICE. 11th May 2020
I've been struggling to understand the reasoning too, in such situations where staff are not employed. At many airstrips and smaller airfields contact can be eliminated completely. We are all used to sanitising supermarket baskets and trolleys and the like and apart from ones own aircraft, a fuel bo...

Is the problem a problem of physically posting? Language? We probably need a tad more information, Mike. Happy to help if I can.

Excellent news. Thanks to all at HQ (dispersed) and others at the CAA for making this happen.

I've passed this on. Great idea.
Just a picky detail: could the poster not have stated 'aeroplane'?
Tin hat, etc....

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?
Firstly ChampChump I hadn't realised all this 'Woke' nonsense had got into aviation too. Yes I'm seatist it seems! I feel suitably shamed...... No, carry on planning. I'd hate to be 'woke' in any sense. It's the past tense of a verb, damnit. We solo pilots in two-seaters might sneak in when you're ...
