Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

I've never flown a Veep, but of course, once one has flown a Champ... I just wanted to add that compared with the other forum, a wealth of far too much information, this thread is a most welcome beam of sunlight through the grey plethora of airspace news, airfield news and... weather. Please k...

Re: Why do so many VP-1's fall into disuse?

I probably missed it (dazzled by Mr Martyr's wisdom :D ) but I don't think anyone mentioned that on Sales & Wanted..is G-BCTT.

Could that be the return of the wrong winged wonder?

Re: HIGH BAROMETIC PRESSURE – CHECK YOUR ALTIMETERS!

I was hoping to be able to have some fun with this, but we are still unable to use the runway.

Please could someone press the fast forward button as it doesn't work when I try?

Good news, indeed.

Will three(ish) days for the Rally be enough?

I suspect you are not alone in that, Mike

It's good to be back. We need a forum or two when the grass is still so soggy.

Merry Christmas all.

Re: Bill Woodhams Trophy

Well there's nothing so embarrassing as misreading a post. I missed Kirk's name.

MK is Marmite, certainly, but rather more colourful. I even argue with myself about him.

I wish the awards committee well - it's just good to know that there are people who qualify so ably.

Re: Bill Woodhams Trophy

I'm sure it's just a typo, Mike, but a Piper Cub is a little different from a KR2 homebuild.

Re: Bill Woodhams Trophy

Chris's post epitomises what must be the ultimate pleasure in recreational flying. My respect for those who build from scratch has no limits.

Joint (or penultimate, if you must) is flying a vintage aeroplane, of course.

Re: LAA x BMAA

I heard another 'ah, but' the other day. A rally that could attract so many more would have the CAA twitching, to start with.

I imagine that the speaker was imagining a Spamwell scenario.

Re: Bill Woodhams Trophy

Ah thanks. That was what I was looking at, but thought those were separate from the B.W. Trophy (and others?).

I may need to go and clear my head. I think I know how...
