Is it an alternator or a dynamo? If the former there is no way of chaning it over other than fit a replacement

Having just lost the use of a strip near Romford does anyone have contacts for a farm strip in the area? I can drive a tractor and am willing to help out!

Has anyone got the contact details for a strip at laindon called I think Bensons farm? I'm planning to move from my present place as the runway has been unusable since September!

I've read on the BMAA forum you can load aviation maps onto the Garmin Nuvi and that Garmin offer these maps free online. Has anyone see the results before I spend any cash?

I'm looking at a Garmin 195 and was wondering what maps I can download onto it. Just want to make sure the airspace bits are up to date without spending lot sof money.

Anyone linked a gps to a PDA and loaded the digital caa maps onto it? Looks a cheap way of getting a decent gps moving map but are there any snags?

I've just downloaded the CAA interactive radio bit but can't get the audio section to work. I've downloaded the latest adobe player to no avail. Any suggestions guys?

Can anyone suggest a suitable place to upgrade my PPL D to group A tailwheel? I'm based about 5 miles from Stapleford and have an Auster Aiglet trainer but Stapeleford is not an option.

Just a quick note to say a HUGE thank you to CFS for all the help with my Gipsy major rebuild. Never asked for any money for all the help on the phone and have saved me loads of grief. There's some beer vouchers in the post lads!
