Re: Engraving machines
Trevor Hi. I needed 6 separate labels for a upgraded panel and chose self adhesive Traffolyte White on Black Labels 25mm X 15mm but can be smaller. With VAT and Delivery was £13.00. Take a look at this Company. They were extremely obliging even though a small order. https://www.traffolytelabels.co.u...

Re: Ignoring PPR
Mike Hi. That is really odd requirement of PPR? Maybe they have limited movements to adhere to. PPR works generally very well here. Its needed as the wheat each side of strip will be cut in next day or two. Next month ITV Drama may appear for 2 or 3 days and the Strip will be totally closed to all f...

Re: Ignoring PPR
I'm pleased to say that the Tiger Moth that landed at my Strip Sunday Morning called today to explain the situation and all is well. Weather at that time over the Mendips was not so good so he wisely put down to see how things would go. If anyone wants to visit then please call for PPR and you will ...

Ignoring PPR
Just an observation.... Its not unknown for Aircraft to land at my Airstrip, White Ox Mead without PPR. In the majority of cases I get a text, email or call to say who it was and to apologise for no PPR. PPR is needed as its a Farm and each day could present different circumstances. Add to that that...

No Mode S or ADS-B information on FR24 for past year?
Might be worth contacting Pilot Aware as they do keep some logs of Aircraft movements via their various ground stations.....I think?
I'll email them now.
Regards

Re: Travel to airfield for self maintenance. Acceptable or not?
Chris....Thank You! As for being affable...a rare accolade. We get visits every few months, sometimes by Police Chopper but normally 4 X 4. Bristol Terminal is effectively closed so as you say, a good time to find and check local Airfields. Hope our Single Seat Fly In at Sandown survives. Regards Ge...

Re: Travel to airfield for self maintenance. Acceptable or not?
Well the sun seems to shine on the righteous! Counter Terrorism Border Police from Bristol Airport have asked me to meet them at the Airstrip to do normal review of Flights and Visitors over past months. I see that as an official reason to play in the Hangar on Saturday. The weather of course will b...

Re: Covid-19 Lockdown
This is not the only visual contact I have had with a BMAA or LAA aircraft flying against the general advice given in past two weeks. The other two were wise enough to keep Transponder and PilotAware or whatever switched off so they couldn't be tracked. Whilst safely airborne all is well and no real...
