Expensive engine Job
Today I was at Headcorn and there were two spitfires and a ME109( Spanish Merlin Job) They were doing publicity filming. The 109 was doing a low pass and pull up along the runway at 200+ and a zoom when there was a lot of black smoke and a horrible sounding engine missing, he zoomed up dropped the g...

Re: jodel d112 117 or 120 or a d18 wanted
I have got my D112M C90 jodel up for sale as I cannot fly it with no medical. I is quite nice with very low hours and a really good engine full electrics, having been totally rebuilt over the last three years.
Have a look for G BHKT in the photo files to see it.

Re: Thermostatic oil control valve.
I think that may be confused as to the purpose of the thermostatic valve, it is to allow the oil to bypass the oil cooler when it is cold and hence warm up to working temperature faster. IT DOES NOT allow the oil to be cooler, that is the purpose of the oil cooler radiator and if it is too hot then ...

Re: Trailer to move Jodel wing - wanted
I had the same problem with my D112 wing and I borrowed a trailer from the local gliding club. It was not the usual type of enclosed super fit trailer but a long open girder thing with odd wheels??? It had two long rails quite high up and the wing fitted across a frame I made of 2X4 and sat on the w...

Re: C90 problem
Looking at the post above reminded me of another cause, an exhaust leak into the hot air system putting exhaust gas back into the intake and causing a cutout at low revs.

Re: C90 problem
Another thing that can happen on all this type engine is that there is an air leak in the induction side look for loose blots on the manifold to carb, the rubber tubing clips and the prime candidate the gaskets and bolt on the elbows to the cylinders, also make sure that the tickover is not too low ...

Hi All , I do not know if anyone has done this already but when it comes to the EVRA Props very few know what the designations actually, are in a more understandable form. I have a listing below which may let some people understand what the common props are in pitch and diameter in INCHES same as mo...

If this is a kit from Europa then the cables were included from them? If so refer him to the company.

Re: Spruce supply recommendations
I will have a look and check size and condition of the spruce, I was wondering how you could build a wooden plane without the equipment. Most of these bits are very small My baulk i about 8' X 4* X 4* and I was a bit hesitant about cutting a one piece for such little pieces but I may have other bits...

Re: rudder cable pull test question
catch 22 no proof, cut them out and replace with ones that are tested,AND then not be able to fit them as they need making up in place as you cant fit the new ones???
