Re: Jerry Cans
Hi Phil, If you really want to go whole hog, go for stainless steel jerry cans. Demon Tweeks sell them for about £110.00 each Inc VAT NOT CHEAP!! But being stainless steel you do not have to faff about filtering the fuel to get the red lead primer out. And don't belive that it never comes off it alw...

Re: Airspace infrigements
CAA/DAP & NATS at their finest. Create an airspace structure that is so complicated so as to increase the amount of CAS infringements. Then come up with a solution that makes airspace more complicated so as to try to reduce infringements. If you think about it, they are not going to 'rationalise CAS...

You can have a copy of one if you want. It's just a hybrid of the ones that are approved for use in construction.

Re: Red tape: Hi-vis and PPR by telephone
Flew down to Perranporth last week. They say they are PPR. Answerphone only, so I left my registration, type and ETA and set off. I don't dwell on it to much! With regard Hi Vis, because I am such a pain in the bum, I recently went to an airport that requires these things. On arrival they asked me t...

Re: Southend Controlled Airspace
Hi Chris, The issues are a bit lengthy but in essence since 34 is being decommissioned at Rochester any North bound traffic will have about 1.5 miles or 45 seconds from leaving the ATZ to change frequency, make contact, get a clearance, prior to the zone. If this does not prove successful they will ...

Re: rotax cold start problems
Hi Happydays, Try jump starting using another battery in parallel. Low voltage can cause the starter to under rotate the engine causing the problem. Or leave the existing battery on charge for a bit to boost its voltage and current. Our 912 can be difficult if the battery needs a charge especially w...

Re: Southend Controlled Airspace
Hi Guys/Girls, The Red Tape challenge Panel looked at charging for CAS. This was quickly dismissed by the DFT in its response. I think generally that this is correct for the reasons that if you are paying for something unilaterally it, in reasonable terms, becomes yours. CAT will always then be the ...
