I must confess that I was quite suprised by the Beeswax article. I always thought those pages were about grassroots low, cost aviation. Yet I was left with the impression that if we did not paint everything dayglow, put up crowd barriers and signs to cover all possible eventualities (even "may conta...

Most EU countrys have standing agreements in place to allow LAA permit aircaft to fly in their airspace. So don't assume...

Also 'alloy' wheels are an alloy of aluminium and when you add an impurity to a pure metal the melting point rises therefore if alloy wheels melt then aluminium certainly will! Depends on what it is alloyed with. IIRC Wheels use magnesium, which your chemestry teacher would have shown you how that ...

My Reply went missing as well We had a meeting with the LAA regarding the CX4, at which mention was made by myself of parts constructed outside the UK (welded rudder pedal assembly in this case). I asked if they were accepatable? Malcolm McBride was dragged into the conversation at this point. The r...

Hi John, At the moment we seem to be stuck on the stress analysis caused by design changes that the LAA were not aware of, and invalidating previous tests. There are some areas that has no analysis or test data as well I am trying to get a better picture at the moment from David Hey who has this as ...

Hi Matthew, We are going through a similar process with the CX4 at the moment and finding it hard work. I would speak to Francis before you shell out any cash, but be aware that any assesment they have made will be based on the plan that they have and its version at the time they visited. They will ...
