Already thought of that one! The problem there is that the majority of glider trailers house a glider, generally pretty valuable, so the owners aren't keen to leave it lying on the ground for a couple of days (understandably). There must be exceptions and I might come across one. I have been offered...

The problem with the Jodel is the one-piece wing, just under 24' long. The fuselage lifts off the wing and the u/c legs are permanently fixed to the the wing/spar. Not designed for moveing other than by air!

Milton Keynes, Caithness, Headcorn, Milton Keynes, Caithness, Milton Keynes......... mmm! Oh well. Nice thought anyway.

A friend of my son has a 40' lorry. He will do it for the fuel cost alone (no inconsiderable....) in early April. But if it's possible to do it earlier then I would.

Yes, found it. Francis D reckons there's no need for anything bigger than a 1600 on a D9, but others who fly them think different..... (hot and heavy, short strip etc..)

Well, it's the least of my problems at the moment. I have to get the a/c back to my workshop - ANYONE KNOW OF A SUITABLE TRAILER for loan or hire? Then a full inspection, it's been languishing for a very long time, although it looks pretty good and it's been kept in the dry. I'm actually hoping that...

The engine in G-BURE is supposed to be a 1200 but the prop is a 59x31 which according to francis is for a 1600/1835. I'm slightly concerned that it's a trifle long with the tail up - any comments? (Oh, I'm not intending to use the 1200!).

Roy made a prop for my Taylorcraft in 1994. It's still on there and has one tiny stonechip in it after all this time. It actually 'did the impossible' improving takeoff, cruise and fuel consumption; marvellous! I've just bought a D9 which to my delight is fitted with an RWG prop, never actually flow...

Andy, Have you contacted Fiona & Raymond at the Shadow Flight Centre, Old Sarum? They would be the most likely source of one, or plans or a kit. It's a simple enough structure. I did make a couple of aluminium ones a long time ago. They were from CFM plans, but I don't have the plans anymore unfortu...

Try Transair

Welshman, Transair do a neat remote PTT, velcros onto a column or stick etc, large red button(!) and works fine with an A20 - I have one on the T craft. As long as the ICOM unit you are considering has a compatible plug, it will work, in fact you can make your own if you can get the right plug, ther...
