I'll be there .... Popham seems to be magnetic to my aeroplane for some reason? I keep aiming for other places but fly-ins at Popham always seem to coincide with my time off and reasonable weather.

Bl@@dy silly aurgument really! The aircraft class is immaterial and it's the airmanship of the pilot that counts. The Zenair example isn't actually a bad one, as a 701 can be either a microlight or group A, and they have the same performance whichever. If you consider that my T31 has a final approac...

Mine is electric fenced and less than the wingspan of my T31m. The field is grazed grass, so apart from when it gets a bit long, it wouldn't be too bad if I strayed a bit. I used to take the fence down each time I flew, but soon stopped bothering when I realised that the T31m is so easy to keep stra...

Sorry I couldn't make it. I made the fatal mistake of taking my wings off a couple of months ago to clean up the struts and only managed to get them back on today! I'm missing all this superb weather. The T31 will be ready to fly in a couple of days ... so sorry in advance as the weather is now gaur...

If not used on their limits, and calibrated correctly at around the weight the aicraft is likely to exert at each point, bathroom scales are fine. I've weighed my T31 twice now with two different sets of scales and give or take a pound, they weighed out at the same! Ivan ________ starcraft 2 replays

I think all of us who've expressed an interest, were sent a pre-registration pack yesterday. My registration cheque will be posted tomorrow and so it will soon be an "official" project. Francis's letter spelled out the fact that the design is not officially approved yet, but made it quite clear that...

Unfortunately my job puts a bit of a dampner on my being able to take much of an active roll. However, I support the idea of a web strut and would certainly be a member. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks John!
Looks like you had nice weather Apparently the EAA are doing an article on the CX4 and Dave Thatcher, so it looks like the type is gaining popularity.

Jon Ward has found a cheap supplier near Southampton. I've spoken to them this morning and they can supply the 020 at ?45 and the two thicker sheets at ?105 each. They may do cheaper for a bigger order so I'm keen to get anybody interested to contact me on 07854251632 ASAP. Cheers, Ivan ________ hot...

I'm not so sure the F12 is approved as a three seater over here.? Many three and four seaters of various types are about, but they tend to be restricted to two seats and a big baggage payload. You could check the approved list for four seaters maybe? However, as I said before, a call to engineering ...

I'd guess it probably is as the Falconar F11 I used to share had a set of their plans with it. That doesn't automatically mean they have the rights over the Turbi, but I'd guess they probably do if nobody else does? I'm waffling  Anyway, a quick call to engineering should put you straight :) _...

I did just as Nick said with my Leburg and have had no problems. It can be hard to get the lead but often older traditional garages still keep some. If I remember, it has to be carbon type, not copper ... but I'm sure you know the details.

Yes it does a bit. No so sure that will get past FD ...... But then? My T31m has cut up inner tubes as undercarriage springs, and the exhaust is made from old milking machine tubing. Lots of homebuilts have used shopping trolley wheels for tailwheels, lawnmower throttles, radiator caps, and many oth...
