Re: Rotax 912 running ruff during mag drop....?

Then try the spark plug cap, then the HT lead connections at either end. Sometimes they work loose.

Then go for carb balance and idle.

These are all easy to do prior to getting on to the complex stuff.

Re: Aircraft Transportation

Try the Europa club,

They used to have a rescue service which loaned out trailers to move broken aircraft home.

Re: ADS B

John , Try this. When the mode s is operating and giving ADSB out try moving a good distance from the aircraft, the output from the transponder can saturate the receiver in the tablet or pilot aware and you end up seeing nothing. Also, if using pilot aware check that the hex code and aircraft I'd ar...

Re: ADS B

Well for those that want to know I managed to get it all working, it rearly wasn't that hard in the end, and all the paperwork has gone off to mission control for stamping and the suchlike. I must admit that when used through Pilot Aware and Sky Demon it gives a good situational awareness tool. John...

Re: ADS B

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the help.

So the Skymap has to be wired to both the aircraft ground and the trig ground? It'll have to come off the same pin then.

Seems a bit odd if its only giving the trig data.

I'll probably try it with and without the ground.

ADS B

Has anyone got any experience of hooking up a Bendix Skymap 3c to a Trig TT21 to give an ADS B out

Any comments would be appreciated.

Gloster Airparts

Does any one know if they are still trading?

I've left messages on the answer phone with no reply and now their website is down.

Re: Rotax 912 pre-heater

Hi, Unless you anticipate operating in serious sub zero temperatures then this may be a better bet. http://www.skydrive.co.uk/products.asp?cat=453 It's simple to add and probably just a sign off by your inspector as opposed to a mod by the LAA. John. I've just looked it up and it is a standard Rotax...

Re: Wiring Required for an iCom CP-20 12v to 11v Power Sourc

I think from memory that the power module works from 11-24v ish! It'll either be a DC to DC regulator or a constant power regulator I think the former is more likely. Because you are at the bottom of the working band when in transmit, the voltage drop may be a little to near the cut off thus the fad...

Many thanks Trevor,

But I managed to get it done at a local engineering college as a project for one of the apprentices.

Re: Aluminium Cutting

I've tried a couple of firms locally. But they cannot be bothered as it's too small.
