Where are you? If local to N Cotes you can fly in, have a brew and I'll do it while you wait. By the time you've paid postage both ways you can buy one on fleabay

Escapade
I'm trying to transfer a BMAA Escapade with a UL 260I to the LAA. Has anyone on here got one so I can update the build state to SLA please. Specifically are you running twin fuel pump. twin battery and emergency electrical backup if the alternator goes west.
Many thanks folks.

Rotax 503 cranks
I'm in a share with a friend with a Shadow CD and the 503 crank is stuffed. Anyone got lead on getting these fixed as Ecclestone aviation don't press these apart now.

I'm after a 3 pin plug for a turn co-ordinator or turn and slip. These are £40 new so if anyone has one in their box of bits going spare please PM me!

Re: Intercom wanted
The audio is fine, it's the small display, lack of names and fiddly menus I dislike. I'm getting used to it though

Intercom wanted
I need a two place intercom for an Icom. I've bought an aircraft with a Trig 91 and find my Icom is loads better. Names on the display, decent size display, better interface. Would anyone care to tell me why the Trig at £1000 more is better?

Painting Oratex
Has anyone any experience of painting over Oratex? I want to add some stripes to my Escapade and was wondering about adhesion and flex of the fabric. I know there is Oratex paint but I have only found it in model aircraft quantities

Re: Auto grade fuel flow meter
Take care. I've known automotive flow meters fail and block the fuel flow. The latest increase in ethanol can be detrimental to some plastics

Escapade
Does anyone know what the corrosion protection on the Escapade is like? Steel tubes and British weather might be a problem. Not many on the register so difficult to find owners.

Re: Electric flying
Good point on the in flight fire. An extinguisher can often cope with a normal fire but a battery runaway is another thing. There was a transport ship sunk recently that was moving new cars. One had a runaway and the entire vessel was lost. Model aircraft have also brewed up with battery but I've ne...

Electric flying
I was wondering if there are any good sides to electric flight. Naff all endurance, if the charge point you go to at one of only 8 places is in use or tech you are stuffed. And the cost is £260 an hour rather than the £140 on a 152 locally. The claimed noise reduction doesn't bare scrutiny as you'll...

Re: nppl info needed unbelivable demands by caa
It took me 12 months, my MP and a load of grief. It would have been quicker to retake the licence from scratch. A lot of people don't tell them for that reason.

Size matters
I am looking for a replacement aircraft having sold my Auster Aiglet. The problem is I am 6 feet five and 115 kg and am built like a rugby player! So can anyone make any suggestions for suitable aircraft? I now await rude answers but hopefully some useful ones too
