Re: VP1 Plans Wanted and others Available

Hi Ken,

I would really appreciate a look at the Hurrican retract scheme. Perhaps we can meet up at Derby
this week or next?

Re: Lithium ion batteries

Hi Tony, I did write to Varley seeking technical advice and they have been very helpful. ‘I have just bought one of your LI-3 batteries (Invoice 136019) through the Wessex light aeroplane Co and was intending to use it on a microlight with a small 670cc engine. But I was taken aback by the warning ‘...

I'm trying to get up to speed with the new battery technology that has become well established in motor sport for example.Batteries using the LiFePO4 technology are also being marketed by Aircraft Spruce for example. Re: PFA/LAA Magazines

Hi Brian, that sounds a good plan. Do you remember that there was a Technical tips' supplement that ran for a while? Perhaps these could be collected together, as each was very short, and included as an extra?

Anyway, the magazine archive will be very useful and much appreciated by members.

Re: PFA/LAA Magazines

Hi Ian and David and John, so sorry to have jumped in with crossed messages. I sorted most of the magazines out yesterday, finishing this morning and then posted my message in a rush without reading the most recent posts as I wanted to get out for a walk in the sunshine! Anyway, I'm happy to keep th...

Re: PFA/LAA Magazines

Hello Ian,

OK I have now sorted out copies of everything apart from the first 6 and the possibly non-existent Dec 96 issue.

Send me a PM and I'll arrange to drive the stuf down to you with pleasure.

Best regards

Richard

Re: Advice please on installing the Bob Archer antenna Model

Frank, you are absolutely right; it will be mounted in a ply-covered wooden fuselage so in effect a non-conducting enclosure. Glad to hear you are going strong. I have a vivid memory of watching you hand-propping a very reluctant VW in a single-seat a/c (unsure what) at Fairoaks, I think, in the ear...

Re: Advice please on installing the Bob Archer antenna Model

Thanks to you Colin and Tony for your replies. The Bob Nuckold book is a useful resource which I hadn't seen before. If I remember right it used to sell at a fairly high price (before the internet really changed the business model perhaps). And Bob Archer's own 'tenna tips is helpful too. http://www...
