LAA magazine
I have always worked on the basis that credit should be given when it is due and I just thought I would compliment 'Light Aviation'. As a publication it does seem to be continually improving and now strikes a good balance of building, flying, engineering and news. Out of interest, is it sold outside...

John, I agree with you. Buying something in a language I can't speak and with no UK after-market support worries me. The Kiev has great reports all across various websites and the agent at Sywell has been very helpful on the two occasions I have called him. Andy Draper at the LAA has said it is an a...

Composite Propeller Advice
I am about to purchase a replacement propeller for a wooden GSC 3 blade. The replacement will be going on a Kitfox/912s and I have in mind either a Kiev ground adjustable or an Arplast ECOprop ground adjustable. Does anybody have any particular knowledge of the benefits / downsides of either? Have I...

perhaps prices could be a bit cheaper next time? I stand to be corrected but £20 for a day out is cheap compared to many other commercial weekend destinations. I would be very surprised if any non-flying non-members would have gone away feeling disgruntled after paying £20 for a day at Sywell with ...

I'm sure there will be lots of feedback from people about their opinion on the success of the rally. I will go first and say that I think it was excellent. The organisation was top notch. The chaps on the radio were superb, the parking worked, the retail section was just the right size, the airfield...

I had similar issues with my A65 in my T-Craft some time back. It ran fine until about 20 seconds after departure when it would lose power. A temporary carb swap proved it to be the float in the problematic carb and a complete carb overhaul did the trick and it was sorted after that. What ws the pro...

Hi there I have the Grove gear on my Mk IV Kitfox and flew it for some 80 hours before it was installed so feel I can explain the benefits. Basically, the wider track once it is installed means that ground handling from a directional point of view is far more stable. It will track straighter due to ...

I think you will find that such thefts are "to order" and within 24 hrs, those engines would have been tucked away in an Eastern European hangar somewhere. As a farmer, equipment theft is something I have had to budget for now. I had £16k worth of quad bikes, trailers, tools etc stolen last year. Ap...
