Re: Builders forum
Hi, It would be good to see something like that here. It might encourage more people to get involved in building and I can see benefits in perhaps encouraging people to get involved in some of the group projects like the D of E Turbulent, or the school's Build-a-plane schemes. A lot of good material...

Re: VP1 Plans Wanted and others Available
Richard/Ken,
the Pottier might also have retract details as it was an option for that.
I'd like to see the Prospector plans if I may?
regards
Colin

Re: Bob Barrows `bearhawk`??
Hi, Are you saying that approval has been refused, or questioning why it isn't on the approved list? Usually lack of approval isn't a case of why it isn't fit, simply that it hasn't been assessed because no one has asked. I am not sure that you will get a response about this on the forum as I don't ...

Re: Light Aviation magazine letters page
Hi,
Probably due to a lack of letters?
Our editor Brian Hope is usually happy to recieve material for the magazine. Drop him a line if you have something to say and I'm sure he'll respond.

Re: Propellers
Hi,
The lists are out of date, the RV6 one was of 2011 vintage.
Read this:
http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... Engine.pdf
That seems to explain the process.

Colin

Re: RV8 Placards
Hi,
Perhaps Brian will pick up on this thread and get someone to add it to the shop in a more obvious location? At least some of know they exist if the question gets asked!

PilotAware update
Hi, I don't think that the PilotAware team can post here directly, but I thought it worth copying their latest newsletter as it seems they are close to finalising the new hardware. Re: 2014 Aluminium
Hi Tony,
Yes, that is much easier to source, sadly not suitable for this though.
[Correction: I suspect that the data I have been using for comparing the two is wrong in respect of 2024 and it may be acceptable after all.]
Will explain Sunday if you are around,
Colin

2014 Aluminium
Hi,
I need to find a supplier for 2014 T651 aluminium in 0.25" and 0.19" thicknesses. Probably about 18" x 12" of the 1/4" annd a bit less of the latter.
Can anyone point me at a supplier?
Regards,
Colin

Sprite Aviation Merlin
Hi, Did anyone else take a good look at the Merlin on display at the Flyer show at Telford last weekend? I have to say that I wanted to bring it home. It seems a very well thought out and practical SSDR, appealing to me because it was very conventional in stark contrast to the E-go on the adjacent s...
