Re: "booking out" and SERA requirements

As the main "controller" (or dimwit radio operator at Popham) we infrequently get a call from D&D (missing aircraaft), Farnborough (lost communication), or Solent (usually after an infringement!) asking the whereabouts or intentions of some aircraft or other. Re: English Language proficiency assessment at Flying Show

Referring to the sabove comment, as far as I am aware it would only have been recorded at your last BFR if the instructor was also a Radio Examiner (and there are only half a dozen of these that are LAA Coaches). I intend to borrow a PA28R with mo...

As far as I am aware you will not only have to have transponder and a flight plan (minimum 2 hours before) but also receive an "acceptance" and an "approval number". Not quite sure how you get this as AFPeX has no way of giving it now. Not sure where this "approval number" gets sent to. If I do file...

Olympics Airspace Restrictions

Please make yourself aware of the draconian airpspace restrictions proposed by the government for 2012. The CAA seem to have bowed down to this and it will drastically affect LAA type aircraft.
