I believe there is a function called the Reynolds Number for scaling full size down to models for accurate replication of performance etc.
I have no idea what this is but out of curiosity would love to know?

Re: Tracey Curtis-Taylor
Having just read some of the more recent posts on the Pprune thread, I am beginning to think that rescinding the award amounts to advising a serial mass rapist that he has been a naughty boy. I am not about to sully this forum by repeating the latest revelations on Pprune except to say that if only ...

Re: Tracey Curtis-Taylor
I'm looking forward to a good read of all the forums on Saturday evening / Sunday.
Keep up the good work guys, and then let's get back to sensible aviation.

I've had a Falcon airspeed indicator for 8 years with no problems. Under the impression they are American built.

Re: Coaching Scheme
Mike.
You have read me all wrong, but if that's what you think, there is nothing I can do about it.
I honestly don't understand where I've been unkind.
I give up. You win. I am obviously a bad person. My apologies.
Good day gentlemen.

Re: Coaching Scheme
Much earlier in this "discussion" I mentioned that I have had a lot of different instructors over many years. I have also seen the PPL syllabus change, sometimes not for the better (in my opinion Brian). I have also flown with instructors that did not inspire confidence, and others, the vast majorit...

Re: Coaching Scheme
Yes I am a bit touchy. When things are mis understood I get touchy, I've already said on several occasions that I like the idea of the PCS, yet you repeatedly state that you don't know if I do or not. Yes, your comments were aimed more at Chris, but I agreed with him. Most of the posts on this subje...

Re: Coaching Scheme
As usual Brian, jump straight in with both feet in defence. When will you get the message that no one is trying to discredit the PCS. Merely pointing out that a particular scenario would be unacceptable is not trying to discredit the organisation unless that scenario was common practice. I am beginn...

Re: Coaching Scheme
Chris, this forum needs a "like" button.
If that sort of scenario is common then the PCS is not for me.

Re: Coaching Scheme
Jon. Thank you for that. I would seem however that the "Flight Advisor" would require the higher qualifications, in a similar situation as you yourself would need in order to administer the System. The actual grass roots instructors however seem to only require the normal instructor qualifications o...

Re: Tracey Curtis-Taylor
Mike. The long running threads on Prune and Flyer forums were getting more and more heated and repetitive to the point of becoming slanderous. To start another one here seemed pointless to me as it is really up to the powers that be to make themselves aware of the truth. Personally I would think tha...

Re: Coaching Scheme
Brian. I am well aware of all that. In the hangar next to me there is a syndicate of 4/5, at least 3 are airline pilots, at least one has flown tailwheel and 747s long haul, all are enjoying light aircraft flying from grass. Please stop thinking that I need advised that some, probably many, ATPLs fl...
