Brian,
Any comment on what other courses are soon to be available. I am interested in the ones that will get me started on a project.

Thanks for the suggestion Tony.

I have registered general interest, but doing it again with specific courses would be a good idea

LAA Maintenance/Build Courses

Is there any news on the LAA maintenance/build courses ? I was hoping there was going to be some more info in the latest Light Aviation. Last months gave an indication that there were at least two that were near to being announced. I am keen to do the sheet metal course and possibly some others. Ian...

Information given on another forum indicates that there are a few questions I need to ask any supplier of aviation grade materials (i.e. 6061T6). What paper work do I need to request from the suppliers to provide an audit to LAA engineering satisfaction? Do I need to be sure that the supplier is au-...

Strip details as above, When I was there there was Mogas at the Craighouse pier. You picked up the shop assistant (no need to ask which shop as there is only one) and drove to the pier, fuelled up and drove back to pay. Fuel was also very expensive compared to the mainland, and I suspect it has a lo...

Four things to know about Jura: (i) The standing whirlpool at the northern tip, the Corryvreckan, is second only to the great Maelstrom; (ii) George Orwell lived on Jura; (iii) Jura single malt whisky is nearly as good as Islay single malt; (iv) Although there is only one road, someone published a ...

Hi Bertrand,
I think you have got the wrong Jura. Northumbrian is referring to the Isle of Jura off the west coast of Scotland.

I assume Oyonnax is in the Jura mountains? Gardens are probably better there as well as the weather :D

I have been to Jura by road several times, but was not aware of the strip when I visited. By all accounts it is a challenge. There was a thread on the flyer forum a while back, some of the piccys have now gone, but all other comments are still applicable. http://forums.flyer.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=42...

combined VHF, GPS, GPRS car like thing I would expect a device like this to be a compromise. Get a proper antenna for the VHF and a separate one for the GPS. I assume you are not going to use GPRS in flight :D bob archer sa-006 folded dipole type I doubt that this is a folded dipole, as they have 7...

Hi Ivan,
You're ears must have been burning
I was hoping to bump into you at Popham, but was not surprised that you did not attempt to fly in. Plan B was to ring or email you but things have been manic this week.

I would like my original order to go ahead please

Cheers
