Put us out of our misery and tell us what you are building or restoring since it might help with the answers.

The Colditz Cock was built by one of our late members Bill Goldsmith who later built a Luton Minor. I see from Aeroplane that a replica has been built for display at Colditz. It of course never got out of the attic and was believed to have been broken up and used as firewood after the war. If any of...

It doesn't change the numbers. The US has been using Inches of mercury for years which is why until now when you say a pressure over the RT you have to say millibars after any value less than 1000 to avoid confusion. It has been officially hectopascals for years in the scientific community and is no...

The answer is Yes
John was working on another design I think called the todller but very little is known about it. He stopped work on it to enter a design in the Rollason Racer competition whch was won by the Luton Beta -the Corby Starlet also came from that competition.

The conditions are OK as long as it is well ventilated, but only cover using old cotton bed sheets where you need to protect from bird effluent. A cockpit cover protects against dust and scratching. I helped remove the fabric from the Shuttleworth Moth in the 70's that records showed had been last r...

LAA Photo Reports

I have prepared a report on the VAC Fenland Fly-In but due to an error on my part the software has lost the link to the page so all you get is a 404 error code. So far I cannot find a way to rename the link or start again and delete the page. The rest of the site is working OK. http://www.laa-archiv...

If its an airstrip there are no rules - If I remember right Finmere had the fence on the runway edge which caused some incidents over the years.

But Finmere was a standard 45metre wide hard runway

It depends on the runway width and the wing span of those regularly using the strip.

If you were sitting on a 727 on a flight I guess you would be a convict since apart from the odd one in South America all 727 are now freighters or used by the US prison service to move prisoners around the USA.

As Steve has said this debate is best done on the NC Forum.

I run the site so am happy to help. It is hosted on a server in the US since it is cheap and gives us unlimited storage. To keep things simple we used the software used in the AB-Pics site produced by Irish Airpics and for that we needed an ISP that could accomodate that software. Thus for those rea...

It will not help since I think your aircraft was on a French CoA and they would expect it to be on a UK CoA. The fact that we took aircraft from France and managed to get them on a Permit to Fly here in the UK was not known to the French Authorities which is why we are trying to sort it out now. The...
