Is it just me, or does it look a bit Heath-Robinson?

Yes it does a bit. No so sure that will get past FD ......

But then?

My T31m has cut up inner tubes as undercarriage springs, and the exhaust is made from old milking machine tubing. Lots of homebuilts have used shopping trolley wheels for tailwheels, lawnmower throttles, radiator caps, and many other odd bits and bobs here and there. So maybe Heath Robinson had the right idea?

Ivan

PS. Most of my agricultural fix-its at work have been distinctly "Heath Robinson" but most seem to work quite well

I don't have a problem with "Heath Robinson", Like you wondered how FD would view a mod like that. Since it features in my build manual, has it been given the nod? indeed is it a mod?

I've learn't most of my "fixing" skills through the Heath Robinson school of Engineering, and made a fair few lash-ups in my time :D
