2-Seater CX5

Post by ColinC » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:50 pm

Hi,

I have not been following this closely, but I did see that a 2-seat CX5 may be under development.

All artists impressions and 3-views have been withdrawn by Dave Thatcher.
Comment from the man himself is
For now, I would like the CX5 artist concept picture removed.
There is so much work ahead for the CX5, and I think people have over reacted to this thing, thinking it was about ready and it is not.
Most of the plans have been drawn and some work on the front fuselage section has begun, but proving out the plans is a long process and many changes crop up. I have received about 50 E-mails from people who want a CX5. Some want it now, but it ant going to happen. Once again your contribution to the CX4 site is much appreciated. Dave Thatcher

Proves that you should always take what you read on the internet with a pinch of salt. It does look like there's some intent there though, but clearly not going to happen very soon.

I see that the two-seat CX5 appears to be back on the agenda again with two prototypes under construction.

I don't think it was ever off the agenda. Dave and Peter have been working slowly on the CX5 since it was first anounced.
