East Midlands LAA Strut July 2024 Meeting

The next meeting of the East Midlands Strut will be on the 2nd July at 7:30pm for an 8:00pm start at The Plough, Main Street, Normanton on Soar, Loughborough, LE12 5HB.

This month we have Peter Johnston who will give us a talk on the activities of the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust. The Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust  is the organisation charged with preserving the historical record and key artifacts from the Rolls-Royce company since its inception, as well as companies that have been acquired or merged with Rolls-Royce over the years, should be a fascinating talk.

Of course to get the best Strut experience you need to come to The Plough! In case you are unable to join us in person, I will also run a Zoom session so that you can join remotely, details as follows:

I'll aim to start the Zoom session around 7:45pm.

Looking forward, on the 6th August, we have Tim Bridge from NUNCATS lined up to tell us about progress on the Electric Sky Jeep prototype G-CLRR including flight testing so watch out for further details at the end of July. I'd also like to discuss possible dates for a fly-out to visit the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden at our meeting next week so that we can get something in the diary. Also, don't forget the LAA Rally at Leicester on the 30th August - 1st September.
