Vale of York Strut

Following on from the presentation by Charles Bonello on the 14th December, there will be two further presentations in January and February, each one complementing the other.
On the 18th January at 20:00 there will be a presentation on Infringements and how we can avoid and minimize the consequences, followed by flight planning from Full Sutton to Calais using Paper Charts and Tablet software. One of the aims will be to demonstrate Infringement avoidance in various types of Airspace.
On the 22nd of February also at 20:00 the presentation will simulate the flight to Calais, using Paper charts and software. The aim of which will be to demonstrate Radio procedure including flight plan activation, "Freecall"s, "Contact"s, Crossing FIR boundaries, Zone Transits and closing flight plans etc.
It is hoped that in March the Strut will then fly out to Calais and on to a local Airfield to give the less experienced of us a chance to fly the route for real as either a passenger or Pilot with a mentor in the RHS.
Anyone who would like to attend will be made most welcome.
