The East Midlands Strut will meet again on Monday 13th March at The Old Plough, Normanton on Soar, Loughborough, LE12 5HB. The speaker I had lined up has had to postpone so I will present a talk on SpaceShipOne, the successful winner of the Ansari X Prize in 2004. There is a link with ‘our’ type of aircraft as SpaceShipOne was designed, built and flown by Scaled Composites, founded by Burt Rutan who designed the Varieze and Longeze homebuilt aircraft. http://www.scaled.com/projects/tierone/
