East Midlands LAA Strut - March 2018 Meeting

Dear All

Our speaker for the 12th March meeting of the East Midlands LAA Strut is Alan James. Alan started off in model aircraft building and after learning to fly in gliders and powered aircraft has constructed two plans built aircraft - a Pietenpol Air Camper G-BUCO and an Isaacs Spitfire G-ISAC. Anyone who has see these projects 'in the flesh' as it were will agree that they are inspiring examples of the art of wooden aircraft building. Alan also makes propellers and can be see at the LAA Rally demonstrating propeller carving, again a fantastic example of aeronautical craftsmanship. We will be meeting at 7:30 for an 8:00pm prompt start at The Plough, Main St, Normanton on Soar, Loughborough LE12 5HB. Please note that this will be the last meet at The Plough, we will be moving venues to The White Lion, Sawley starting with the 9th April meeting.
