East Midlands LAA Strut - May 2021 Meeting

The next meeting of the East Midlands LAA Strut will be on Monday 10th May, 7:45pm for an 8:00pm start. This month, we have Guy Inchbald talking about Frank Halford and the Golden Age of British Aviation. You may recall that Frank Halford was the engine designer for De Havillands, and designed the Gyspy series of engines, as well as the Goblin jet engine. Guy has also written a new book about the DH88 Comet Racers designed for the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race to Australia, won of course by Grosvenor House G-ACSS, with honourable mentions for Black Magic, G-ACSP and 'the green one', G-ACSR which Ken Fern is building a replica of as G-RCSR.
