East Midlands LAA Strut Dec 2021 Meeting

The next meeting of the East Midlands LAA Strut will be on the 13th Dec at The Plough, Main Street, Normanton on Soar, nr Loughborough, LE12 5HB. I have no speaker arranged but Martin Jones has suggested an LAA style 'pub night', where you can either be physically at The Plough, or join us via Zoom. I'll bring a camera to allow Zoom participants to see the folks in the room, as well as speakers to amplify the audio for those in a room.

For the January meeting on Monday 10th Jan, we'll be having a quiz which Martin has volunteered to help with. I have a number of nice books for prizes so I hope you be able to join us face to face, although prizes can I'm sure be posted.
Finally, I hope you'll have seen in the news that the ACCEL project has beaten the world record for 3km by flying at 345mph, which beats the previous record by 132mph! A maximum speed of 387mph was achieved during the runs - apparently they had to use the Spitfire as a chase as the Extra wasn't quick enough. You can read more here:
