Little Snoring Fly-In Sunday 13th Sept 09

Post by Norfolkjohn » Tue Sep 08, 2009 9:05 pm

This coming Sunday (13th September) the McAully Flying Group are having their final fly-in of 2009 at Little Snoring Airfield near Fakenham in North Norfolk. The previous event in May attracted over 80 aircraft and it would be nice to see an equally big turn out on Sunday.

North Norfolk really is a lovely part of the country and all visitors are welcome in any type of flying machine. There are no landing fees but donations to the East Anglian Air Ambulance will be greatly appreciated.

There will be a BBQ and bar as well as plenty of homemade cakes and lashings of tea! Reasonably priced Avgas is also available to refresh your aircraft!

There is no need to PPR and definitely no slots! Please just call Little Snoring Radio on 118.125 when you have about 10 minutes to run to the field. The runway is orientated 07 / 25. Although the flight guides show this as being 494x23m of asphalt / concrete there is another 300m plus of perfectly good, flat, short grass at the 25 end giving a total usable length of 800m. Circuits are left hand at 800’ AAL. Windsocks are displayed on top of the WW2 Tower and at the 07 threshold.

Further information is available from the McAully Flying Group website :

Alternatively feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

If you haven’t got Little Snoring in your logbook this is a great opportunity!
