Another year and another great fly-in organized by Hubert Eckl, this year at Rechlin-Larz aerodrome in north east Germany, 18-20 May.
This is a big old former Soviet airbase and Hubert has organized a fly-in and a jazz band on the Saturday night with food and sustenance. There are bicycles to borrow to explore the aerodrome and the local area (very beautiful) and maybe go sailing on the Muritz (lake) nearby. Camping or hotels are the order of the day.
This is a great way to do a little touring in Germany with a fantastic destination at the end and a chance to meet aviators from all over Europe. This is not a big event (maybe 20-30 aircraft) but it is a gem.
